This blanket takes inspiration from the vivid floral designs of chintz, which originated in India in the early 17th century. After the fabric was brought to Europe, it became so popular that English and French authorities banned the textile so their own mills could compete. The bold outlines of our design take inspiration from the traditional process of woodblock printing and hand-painting that provides the name for the pattern -- the Hindi word chint means “printed” or “spotted.” From Victorian drawing rooms to Jackie Kennedy’s White House décor, chintz has never gone out of style.
Our knit blankets are soft and breathable, yet durable enough to travel from the bed to the park. Curl up with them on the sofa with a good book, or take them with you for a picnic on a nice day. Just throw in the wash when needed.
